Plain English summary: You are responsible for your account, your connected social profiles, and the content you publish through TryPost. Use the service lawfully and only with permissions you control.
Acceptance
By accessing or using TryPost, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms apply to the hosted TryPost service and any self-hosted deployment that references them.
The Service
TryPost is an open-source social posting app designed for drafting, scheduling, and publishing content to connected platforms. The service may include posting queues, content libraries, account connections, analytics, and publishing tools.
Accounts and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, API keys, access tokens, and any other credentials used with TryPost. You are responsible for all activity under your account, whether performed by you, your team, or anyone you authorize.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use TryPost to:
- Post spam, scams, malware, or deceptive content.
- Impersonate another person or organization without authorization.
- Violate the rules or API terms of any connected social platform.
- Interfere with, disable, or abuse the service or another user's instance.
- Upload unlawful, infringing, abusive, or harmful material.
- Attempt to reverse engineer or interfere with the service beyond rights granted by applicable open-source licenses.
Connected Social Accounts and Content
You control the social accounts you connect and the content you publish. TryPost acts only on the permissions you grant. You are responsible for ensuring that your posts, schedules, and connected accounts comply with the rules of the relevant social platforms.
Open Source and Third-Party Software
TryPost may include open-source components and third-party services. Those components are governed by their own licenses and terms. Nothing in these Terms removes or limits rights granted under a separate open-source license that applies to the software code you receive.
Intellectual Property
TryPost, including its branding, product design, and any proprietary content not otherwise licensed, is owned by Sparkbyt Digital or its licensors. Except for rights granted by a separate open-source license or by these Terms, you receive no ownership rights in the service.
Availability and Updates
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of TryPost at any time. We may also release updates that change features, compatibility, or workflows. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated service and the current version of these Terms.
Disclaimer of Warranties
TryPost is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of data loss.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sparkbyt Digital and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of TryPost. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, if any.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the hosted service if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or misuse the service. If you self-host TryPost, the operator of that instance controls access, suspension, and removal under their own policies.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Singapore unless applicable law requires otherwise.
